THE PURSUIT OF PROFIT – FAYE MURRAY 9.30am for a 10am start Session One (10 - 11.30am)No Point in Having a Salon Unless You Are Profitable Faye will step you through all the essentials you need to know and understand so you can get the most from the dollars that come in and the dollars that go out. You will leave this session with an understanding of all the key money points of your salon. Time allowed for all the questions you have always wanted to ask. What exactly does profit mean and how to achieve it How to read a profit and loss statement and benchmarks to guide you What exactly is GST and how does it affect you How to work out monthly and weekly salon goals and individual goals How to price your services to suit your salon for profit The best time and how to implement a price increase How to set bonus levels that are a win/win How to understand and manage productivity of your team Session Two (11.45 – 1.15pm)The Little Things That Make a Big Difference to Your Profit Faye has chosen content for this session from all her favourite “pearls of wisdom” that her experience has taught her. These are the key management points that you must understand and get right for strong profit and salon success.   Team management 2019, compared to how it was Develop a team culture through an ‘Attitude of Gratitude’ Colour is your biggest opportunity for growth The business of retail Reception that converts to results Zip Pay and After Pay.

How to work it Frequency of visits can make or break How to get value from your up and coming apprentices Consideration will be made for salons that do not operate a point of sale and a manual alternative will be offered where possible. Handouts will be given as working sheets during both sessions. When working with figures very clear examples will be given. Lunch Break1.15 – 2.00pm Create, Confidence, Speak – PAULA HIBBARDSession Three (2.00 – 4.30pm) Paula will take you and your staff on a journey to relive why they entered the fabulous world of hair. She will help them create a positive perception within the salon and the world around them. Through her passion and energy for the craft Paula will build confidence in how to consult creatively, educate the client on their hair, getting them to return more regularly and teach your staff how speak with knowledge and poise about their craft.  Why did you choose hairdressing? How can we present ourselves more positively? What are points of difference? Do we show our clients all they need to maintain their style throughout their visit? Are our clients enjoying their time in the salon? Does your salon say what you want it to say from the outside in? Are these questions (and more) ones you're asking for yourself or maybe you’re seeking the answers for them about your team? With Paula’s experience, love of the industry and vibrant, fun presentation she will help grow a team with a more positive attitude to their role and why they do what they do.
