Be inspired by Australia’s most incredible adventurers and dreamers. Ever wanted to hear firsthand stories from a world record holding kayaker, a daring wingsuit flier or an Antarctic exploring climate activist? Australian Geographic is proud to present our Awards Roadshow – where we bring some of Australia’s most impressive adventurers, conservationists and all-round incredible people to inspire and motivate audiences right across Australia. Australian Geographic Presents: Perth Australians have been at the forefront of conservation and adventure for decades. We have pulled together some of the best animal warriors and explorers Western Australia has to offer, to share their unique experiences and perspectives from their diverse fields. With inspiring stories and captivating messages of perseverance, dedication and the power of team work, this is one event not to be missed.

Sandy Robson undertook one of the most impressive kayaking feats ever attempted by an Australian, when she spent five years kayaking from Germany to Australia. Steve Plain proved the power of determination when, after suffering an almost fatal surfing accident, he decided to pursue his dream of climbing the Seven Summits, and did so in world record time. Simon Cherriman – otherwise affectionately known as the eagle man – is leading the way in creating environmental action and awareness through his lifelong passion, bird science. And Rob McLean represents his team of mates-turned-activists, the Numbat Taskforce, who are tirelessly fighting to protect this unbelievably cute and cuddly native Australian animal from the grips of extinction. Together, this impressive lineup will inspire you to kick your mind, body and local community into gear, and achieve something truly remarkable.
