Frankie&Sal are fresh from their debut at Melbourne Fringe, and their heads have never been bigger. Seriously they’re, like, famous now. Next on their hit-list is Adelaide Fringe. FRANKIE&SAL in Making It Rain is created and performed by Brisbane based indie arts duo, Bec Redsell-Jones and Daria Smith. This is their first performance at Adelaide Fringe and they are not above using music, jokes, and a few stonefish to get audiences to engage with their inner-child. “The most enjoyable humour of the show was drawn from the characters interactions and some of the more left-field moments...including a cheeky stonefish.” – Hugging Comedians Blog, 2017 “My name is actually Gary, and I am offended” – A guy named Gary, 2017 “Incredibly clever. The female equivalent of Lano and Woodley” – Kaitlyn Rogers, 2017 Frankie is a straight-faced realist who is probably not as smart as she thinks she is, whilst Sal is the ever-joyful optimist.

The humour is brought to life by the contrast of these two best friends and their approaches to the situations they get themselves into. With elements of sketch comedy, audience interaction, and whimsical stories; this show is offbeat, a bit weird and a whole lot of fun. Electric Fish Arts Company is an indie theatre group run by Bec Redsell and Daria Smith. Both graduates of the QUT BFA Drama course, they first collaborated on Bec Redsell’s Honours thesis; an interactive and Immersive Theatre installation that wowed audiences with its detail and ingenuity. Their interests lie in the exploration of innovative techniques and performance styles that drive the audience experience. Making It Rain is the first official performance to be presented by Electric Fish and forms the first episode in a nine-part series starring Frankie&Sal.
