Future Asia Business Summit 2019 The next wave of opportunity to engage in the Asian Century is to provide services to middle class consumers. Cities in Asia are working together in developing smart sustainable communities with the aim of delivering a high quality of life, a competitive economy and sustainable environment. A growing number of Australian jobs depend on the demand from Asian provinces. The majority of Australians have limited knowledge about these cities – its culture, language, demographics. As Sydney undertakes its own smart and sustainable transformation it has the opportunity to engage with its neighbouring cities and support local businesses to connect into the global supply chains that are transforming these major cities to truly thrive in a smart Asian century.

Sydney Town Hall will again host this important annual summit where former SBS broadcaster Lee Lin Chin will act as MC and moderate panel discussions. Our keynote address will be made by the Director of The Demographics Group, Simon Kuestenmacher who will uncover what Sydney can learn from Asian smart cities. The event will include panel discussions and a collaborative dialogue session to discuss: • How Sydney businesses can leverage from the smart Asian century to continue as a thriving and globally competitive city. • How our SMEs can capitalise on these opportunities to grow and expand their businesses. • What the City of Sydney is doing to strengthen connections with Asia. Panellists include: • Raymond Fan – Director, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Sydney  • Kylie Bell – Executive Director, Industry, Trade and Investment, NSW Department of Industry • Princess Ventura – Director, Urbis  • Mukund Narayanamurti – CEO, Asialink Business  • Tom Grove – General Manager, Smove Sydney  • Daniel Fah – Managing Director, CEO Strategic  • Pip Harley – Sustainability Engagement Manager, City of Sydney The event will conclude with a networking lunch from 12-1pm.

The summit is open for all to attend. Businesses in the smart cities, technology and innovation sectors will find the event particularly valuable. Attendance is free and registration is essential.
