GREGG ARTHUR is an Australian singer, songwriter and actor, known for his intimate vocal style. “I love the way you sing. Gregg Arthur is that rare entertainer combining sophisticated stage presence with superb vocal skill, charm, humour and charisma. Gregg’s training and education are firmly based in the tradition of jazz vocals and the great American Songbook, and uses his considerable abilities to interpret what he calls the “new standards”, pop and smooth jazz classics.

Studying music in Sydney, Gregg honed his vocal skills with famed singing coach Don Graden, studied acting to enhance his singing performances at The Actors Studio and lessons with legendary acting teacher Hayes Gordon. In the United States Gregg is performing and writing with legendary pianist Tom Ranier, and has a residency with beloved bassist Pat Senatore trio at the prestigious venue Vibrato, owned and presented by renowned Grammy award winning trumpeter Herb Alpert. In Australia and the Asia Pacific Gregg tours and records with the cream of the region’s musicians, including pianist and musical director Peter Locke and bassist Craig Scott. Gregg Arthur has recorded 8 albums and 7 compilation albums with orchestra for ABC Classics & Jazz/Universal Music.

He has been praised internationally for his original smooth vocal style by Tony Bennett in the United States, radio king Alan Jones in Australia, Michael Parkinson on the BBC in the United Kingdom, and Don Heckman in the LA Times. “As the former pianist/conductor for Frank Sinatra, I want to say that having worked with Gregg Arthur, I believe that he has all the necessary talent and vocal acuity to follow in the footsteps of Mr. Sinatra, and effectively disseminate the great music which Mr. Sinatra Doors open at 6.30pm.
