2019 WORKSHOPS FOR INFORMATION LINKAGES & CAPACITY BUILDING (ILC) GRANTS ILC grants play an important role in the NDIS: they enable more people with disability to be meaningfully included in all aspects of life. This, in turn, will mean greater opportunities for businesses, with the NDIS promising to be the biggest driver of social and economic change across all industries in Australia.As part of the Inclusion Ready Project, National Disability Services (NDS), in partnership with Community Services Industry Alliance (CSIA), is offering free workshops across Queensland between March and July. These workshops will help organisations and businesses to understand how the National Disability Insurance Agency’s (NDIA) Information, Linkages, and Capacity Building Grants (ILC) can help them become more inclusive of people with disability.A new national ILC strategy has just been announced, with big changes coming to the Grants program.

This workshop will include information and insight into the NDIA’s new strategy and the planned roll-out of grants in 2019. Why you should come to the WorkshopOver the next three years, the Australian Government is offering up to $400M to local and national organisations like yours, to help you grow your capacity to deliver inclusive projects that directly benefit people with disability. An ILC grant could help your business to build and grow through inclusion. What does the Workshop cover?ILC has changed since 2018. While the founding principles remain the same, the application of the approach is different.The workshop will help you to: Understand the revised ILC strategy and how it might impact your business and your participants or customers How social and economic inclusion can impact your bottom line What grants you could apply for, and when Understand what grant decision makers are looking for How to write a successful grant: Tips & tools Network with other organisations & understand who is delivering ILC grants in the community Who should attend? Anyone with an interest in inclusion Community service organisations Disability service organisations Indigenous and CALD organisations LGBTIQ+ organisations Local and State Government officers Chambers of Commerce and Industry Clubs and sporting groups Businesses wanting to build their capacity to meet the growing needs of people with disability to access their services – across all industries This is a FREE event.Workshop times: 9.30am morning tea networking, 10.00am – 2.00pm workshop including lunch.
