EVENT FAQs What's it all about? As an organisation focused on improving women’s health, supporting vulnerable women and advocating for women’s rights, we feel it is important to celebrate and participate in International Women’s Day.  It also offers us the opportunity to fundraise for the Women’s Foundation.  The Women’s Foundation raises funds to support the vital work of the Women’s, Australia’s first and largest specialist hospital for women and newborn babies. Gifts to the Women’s are an integral part of the research, innovation and leadership that brings advances in health care for women. Donations are not used for the hospital’s operating costs or for services or equipment that are government funded.  Supporting the Women’s Foundation will help deliver advancements in health research, technology, programs and equipment.   Where is the event held and what are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? In 2019 we are moving our breakfast event to Metropolis on Southgate, a prominent venue with a beautiful outlook over the Yarra River and CBD, which provides seating for up to 290 guests.

View parking information for Metropolis Events. There are a variety of public transport options available, including bus, train and tram.  Flinders Street Station is just a 5 minute walk away. What will the breakfast include? The event features a two course menu, with pastries, fruit, muesli to start and a main course of toasted multi-grain sour dough, poached eggs, sugar cured bacon, eggplant and red pepper caponata, crumbled Persion fetta and baby basil leaves. Barista coffee, a selection of T2 herbal and breakfast teas, Emma & Tom's Life Juices and Perrier sparkling water will also be available. What if I have certain dietary requirements?
