Every year, AEU members come together for this special dinner to celebrate International Women’s Day. This is one of the most anticipated events in the union calendar, as it brings together women activists from different age groups, sectors and regions. Whether you’re a seasoned activist or a new unionist, we think the IWD dinner will ignite your enthusiasm for the year ahead. In 2018, we are delighted to have Peggy O’Neal as our keynote speaker. Peggy is the first woman president of the Richmond Football Club, and stewarded the club to an historic premiership win in 2017. As a woman in a male-dominated industry, Peggy is no stranger to challenge. Come and be inspired by her story of overcoming sexism and misogyny to be recognised as a powerhouse leader in the AFL.
