Have you been to a PODD workshop in the past, but want an opportunity to practice and develop your PODD skills in a fun. friendly and practical way?  Do you have one or more goals about using a PODD that you would like to achieve? The PODD Practical workshop is just what you have been looking for. Who should attend? Child care educators Preschool teachers and support staff Junior primary/primary teachers and support staff Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) educators Allied Health Professionals wanting to learn more about using a PODD in natural environments Parents and other communication partners Benefits of attending: Learn about: Using a PODD for meaningful communication in everyday situations Fun, practical ways to use a PODD as a tool for learning and developing communication How to be more confident in using a PODD to communicate FAQs Do I have to bring my own PODD communication book? There will be a wide range of PODD books and several iPads with PODD app available to practice on during the workshop.


You can bring your own PODD book or device with PODD app, but make sure the person who uses it has access to a suitable alternative communication method during that time. We use PODD on our tablet/iPad, not in book form, will this workshop still be relevant? The main focus of this workshop is for PODD communication books however the ideas learnt can be transferred across to using with a PODD app on tablet or iPad.   Do I need a basic understanding of PODD to get the most out of this workshop? Yes. You must have attended the 3hr 'How to use a PODD' workshop presented by Novita or equivalent training before attending this workshop.                                                                                                                                 ** Please refer to Novita's Eventbrite page for details of upcoming 'How to use a PODD' workshops.

Can I use my NDIA funds to pay for this workshop? Yes. If you would like to access your NDIA funds to pay for this session please do not book through this site. Please ring Novita's ATS department on 8243 8261 or email at [email protected] to place a booking. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? The venue is accessible by public transport (bus). There is on-site parking at Novita's office. How can I contact the organiser with any questions? Please email [email protected] What's the refund policy? There are no refunds provided for this event unless the organiser cancels. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Yes Can I update my registration information? Yes. Registration information can be updated at any time.  If I can no longer attend, can I pass my ticket on to a colleague? Yes.
