Recreational Aviation Australia 2019 Professional Development Program (PDP) Back to Basics: Re-exploring first principles and the fundamentals of flight training delivery and maintenance completion. Peace AviationRockhampton, QLDFriday 22nd November 2019 from 9.00am - 5.00pm.Member Forum to be held 6.00pm - 7.30pm. This year’s PDP tour will cover 13 locations across the country, providing 1-day workshops at each location that are relevant to all CFIs, Instructors and Maintainers. The workshops are divided into sections which include presentations and organisational updates on the Operational, Technical, Safety and Innovation & Improvement departments and their respective functions within RAAus.  Technical presentations for maintainers and instructors are scheduled to be held from 09:00 – 10:30.

This allows maintenance approval holders with no instructor qualifications to leave following completion of the technical presentation session. Maintainers are, however, encouraged to stay for the duration of the PDP. RAAus expects all CFIs and Instructors to make a concerted effort to attend a workshop as they are designed specifically for our senior authority holders who represent the organisation at the highest level in the community. Technical: - 262AP-5 approvals for flight over built up areas- Engine on condition- Hours and Maintenance record- Ballistic parachutes Operational: - Instructor Intervention – Case Studies- CFI Portal – practical demonstration and discussion- Advanced Instructor Training Program – Spin Recovery Safety: - Aviation Safety Management System (ASMS) Implementation and FTS Requirements- Occurrence Management System (OMS) Application and Trends Analysis Innovation & Improvement: - FTS Audit Activities- Records Keeping and Administrative Processes At the conclusion of each locations’ workshop, RAAus will host a 1.5-hour Members Forum to provide an opportunity to local and surrounding members to discuss topical issues with senior management.
